Tis the Season for Electronics Recycling

There is no better time than the Christmas holidays to start recycling your old electronics. Think about it. You are probably going to receiveĀ at least a few electronic items as gifts for Christmas (or maybe give a few yourself). This means you will need to get rid of old electronics items that the new ones are replacing. Too many people just hold onto old electronics because they donā€™t know what to do with them. They end up with a basement or attic full of old electronics that they never plan to use again, some of them sitting there for decades.

You probably know that you shouldnā€™t put electronics in the trash. There are precious metals and toxins in those electronics that will go into landfills if you throw them away, and these things will in time make their way into the environment. They will either go into the soil or the water supply or both. They may even harm wildlife that comes along and picks at the remnants of old electronics in landfills. Unfortunately, people do throw away old electronics, and this does happen every day. You can get rid of the clutter in your house and protect the environment at the same time by engaging in electronics recycling.

If youā€™re wondering where to take your old electronics once you give or get new ones for the holidays, you need look no further than Tech Dump. We are a local facility in the Twin Cities area, and you can drop off just about any type of old electronic device at our warehouse. We will even come to you and pick up computers for computer recycling if you have five or more to recycle. We accept TVs for TV recycling, but there is a charge for the old style tube TVs. This means you can bring us your old flat screen TVs for FREE recycling and not have to continually stack them up in your house, where no one will ever use them again.

We also provide jobs for adults who have economic barriers to employment. We participate in charity-based community outreach programs, as well. When you recycle with us, you are not only helping protect the environment, you are also helping your community and the people who live in it. Since itā€™s the season to give, why not give back to the world in general by recycling your old electronics at Tech Dump? Itā€™s the generous thing to do.

If you have any questions about electronics recycling or any of our charitable programs, please contact us. We are always happy to assist you in any way we possibly can.
