Nonprofit recycler Tech Dump buys St. Paul building to expand

Electronics recycler Tech Dump has reached a deal to buy a 90,000-square-foot building in St. Paul, a move that will more than double the nonprofit’s space.

Tech Dump, which also provides jobs and training to ex-offenders and people recovering from drug addiction, has signed a purchase agreement to buy the property at 860 Vandalia St., according to a news release. The organization will initially occupy 60,000 square feet in the building and sub-lease the remaining space. Tech Dump now operates out of 30,000 square feet in St. Paul and another 8,000 square feet in Golden Valley. The nonprofit didn’t disclose financial terms of the deal in a news release.
