From leading a team of IT staff to designing and implementing IT strategies and infrastructure to building and maintaining vendor relationships, IT directors’ plates are brimming with responsibilities. IT is the cornerstone of any organization and a solid IT department is critical to its success.
Tech Dump is here to make life easier for IT directors in several important ways:
1.) We’re certified, so you don’t have to worry about the PR risk of a data breach or illegal dumping
At Tech Dump, we proudly boast the R2 (“Responsible Recycling”), ISO14001, and ISO45001 Certifications. To obtain and maintain these certifications we must undergo a rigorous yearly third-party audit to make sure our processes and procedures meet the highest industry standards, including NIST 800-88r1.
We also audit all of our downstream vendors so you can retire your assets with full confidence, knowing that they also abide by these standards. And no one involved in the process will ship your assets overseas for disposal.
When you work with Tech Dump for end-of-life asset management, you can have peace of mind that your company’s data will remain secure throughout the entire process and your brand image will be upheld. We offer onsite and offsite shredding services so you get to decide which data destruction method is right for your business.
2.) We make a positive social impact…which makes you look good!
When you give a report to your sustainability department and your employees, you can do so confidently, knowing that you’re doing your part to preserve the environment by responsibly recycling your end-of-life assets. But the benefits don’t stop there. You also make a social impact in the local community.
Tech Dump is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and social enterprise. Every year we provide hundreds of thousands of employment hours and over a million dollars in wages to adults who face employment barriers. We equip them with the experience they need to be increasingly valuable employees with expanding futures through living-wage, on-the-job training.
3.) We provide you with exceptional customer service
As an IT director, you can anticipate a professional, secure and worry-free process.
We consistently receive shining Facebook, Google and Yelp reviews highlighting positive customer experiences.
“I just can’t say enough about how happy and impressed I am by the staff of Tech Dump! I actually look forward to getting recycling picked up (which I used to dread before Tech Dump). Their staff is always courteous and professional. I feel like they have our best interests at heart and do their best job! Thank you again for another excellent experience.”
4.) We provide you with the necessary documentation
Whether your company requires a Certificate of Destruction (COD) or a Certificate of Sanitization (COS) Tech Dump can accommodate you.
We carefully track your assets from start to finish. We label them onsite, count and track them when they’re removed from your site, implement a secure chain of custody during transport to our controlled-access facility and issue the COD and COS at your request upon completion of the disposition process.
Our COD process physically destroys hard drives into ½” pieces before they are smelted down for future use in the creation of other electronics.
Our COS process securely removes all data from your hard drives so they can be reused and meets NIST Standard 800-88 rl for data wiping.
5.) We offer mobile hard drive shredding
We want to keep things as secure and simple as possible for each of our customers. That’s why we offer mobile hard drive shredding, where we come to your site with our shredder so your data never leaves your facility. When you make an appointment with us, we will inquire about your shredding needs. We are your one-stop-shop vendor for IT asset disposition!
If you want us to take a load off your shoulders, give Tech Dump a call today at 763.432.3117 to discuss your organization’s IT asset disposition needs.
